Big Brothers Big Sisters is a nationally recognized child mentoring agency.  Our mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one to one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.  We partner with guardians, volunteers and others in the community and hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving: Higher aspirations, greater confidence, better relationships, avoidance of risky behaviors and educational success.

Our agency currently offers our community based program and school based program.  Community program is a minimum of one year committment and mentoring with the child a minimum of three times a month.  Schedule is flexible for mentoring as the meeting time and place is arranged between the guardian, child and the mentor.  The objective is to provide a child with a positive role model who can spend time with the child on a one to one basis.  The hope is the match will establish a life-long relationship much like any other big brother or sister.

The school based program is a minimum of a one year commitment where the volunteer will meet with the child for one hour, once a week at their school, therefore 4 hours a month. The volunteer and child can work on school work, or according to that childs needs.
