The Environmental and Peace Education Center is a nonprofit 501(c)3 community advocacy organization located in Southwest Florida. Founded in 1982, EPEC raises community awareness on issues concerning the preservation of Southwest Florida’s unique ecological paradise, and works to promote the resolution of local, national and world conflicts through nonviolent means. The guiding principles of cooperation and collaboration are the means by which EPEC moves toward these goals, and we welcome your involvement.

We are looking for students who are interested in environmental and peace issues to update our website weekly. We would not need more than one or two hours total per week to do some updates. We use WordPress software. Board of Directors will send the student(s) items we'd like them to put on the website. You will also have some creativity to post items they find interesting and related to our mission.

We are looking for students to help re-start our Conflict Resolution program.  Each year the Conflict Resolution Task Force of the Environmental and Peace Education offers an opportunity for persons to learn techniques for teaching effective and peaceful Conflict Resolution.

We also need students who are interested in environmental and peace issues in Southwest Florida and looking to start a project of their own. We are an informal, flexible group, so come share your ideas!
