The dollars raised go toward funding discovery of life saving methods such as CPR, Stents, Bypass Surgery, and Automatic External Defibrillators. The American Heart Association is the largest voluntary health organization in the U.S. fighting heart disease, and the leading non-governmental agency supporting heart research and stroke research. The American Heart Association has an extraordinary impact on lives by empowering you and your loved ones to save lives, live healthier and enjoy more peace of mind about cardiovascular disease. The new 2020 impact goal is to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20% and reduce deaths from cardiovascular disease & stroke by 2020.
