K is for Kids Foundation is a unique nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization building readers and leaders. We utilize a mentorship program to promote youth leadership and develop students' skills through literacy initiatives.

Through focused efforts, K is for Kids helps cultivate the skills kids need to be creative thinkers, adventurous problem solvers and visionary leaders. Reading and dreaming, learning and leading, creating and achieving: That's K is for Kids!

Join us each February when we celebrate Bring a Book, Bring a Friend for Children's Literacy Month and sign up ?for our annual K is for Kids' Teen Fashion Show. Together when can give kids of all ages more dreams to dream and more books to read.
Job Description: We seek volunteers to spread grassroots campaign on campus and in the community.

Do you want to make a positive impact on others? Do you have skills that you would like to apply or strengthen? Are you looking to boost your resume or build your portfolio?

K is for Kids looks for individuals who are resilient and resourceful, bright-minded, creative problem solvers, energetic self-starters and good communicators who would like to utilize their unique talents to make a difference in other students' lives.

K is for KIds gives kids in need books to read while offering high school (and college) students more opportunities for leadership and project management utilizing entrepreneurial principals. Our high school student leadership council (DOSA or Directorate of Student Agenda) governs the mission and activities of all teen volunteers. Operation:Outreach is a leadership program created by teens on school campuses with the motto "Climb Higher. Help Others."

Our readers and leaders program benefits students of all ages in over 56 schools and nonprofits in Collier and south Lee Counties.

College students may volunteer, serve in internships or as advisors to our young leaders and/or propose new programs to support our mission.

All skills are needed and utilized in our business of helping others.

Benefits Offered: Students who do not have the technology needed to keep connected, such as a phone or laptop MAY be eligible for loaned equipment. Plus, there are the intrinsic rewards of helping others and developing self. We do also provide lots of food and beverages when students are on location with us.
