Details: "Pushing DaiZies, Inc., is an official 501c3 non-profit organization built around the local arts community and local partner charities. Our main event that we host is the annual October Zombicon in downtown Fort Myers. In 2012, over 5,000 pounds of food were collected for the Harry Chapin Food Bank, breaking their donation record at a single night-time event (a record previously held by a previous ZombiCon), 314 units of blood were donated to the Lee Memorial Blood Center (breaking their donation record as well), and 40 bone marrow donors.

THIS EVENT SAVES LIVES.

Beyond continuing to break charity donation records, Pushing DaiZies has big plans for expansion. With the success of ZombiCon 2013, Pushing DaiZies intends to open a facility where children can learn different art crafts after school, on the weekends, and during summer. By putting together scholarship programs for families needing assistance, many kids who would otherwise be home alone, or on the streets getting into trouble will be able to focus their energy and creativity into something positive, and possibly learn an occupational craft like faux painting, makeup artistry, computer graphics, commercial art, or photography.

Please help Pushing DaiZies achieve these goals and continue to inspire the community through art and charitable deeds. Every donation, volunteer or sponsorship helps!
