Details: The Florida State Parks are working to restore disturbed habitat to a more beautiful and natural state. You can help us in this move towards a more natural ecosystem by coming out to the parks and helping with removal of invasive exotic plants. Also you can help users better enjoy our parks with the aid of trail maintenance.
Job Description: Students would aid in surveys, removal and treatment of invasive exotic species and aid with trail maintenance on park property.
Times of Work: Weekdays daytime, Weekends daytime

Benefits Offered: Basic training with herbicides, and GPS units.
Plant Identifaction training.
Students will gain a deeper understanding of Florida's natural resources and ecysystems.
Additional Information: Students will be required to work outside in the Florida environment for long periods of time, and may be required to do so in long sleeves and pants. General maintenance and cleaning of tools will be done on a daily basis. Also heavy lifting may be required depending on the task for the day. Come prepared with water, sunscreen and anything else needed to get through the day.
