Details: The Bonita Springs YMCA mission is to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build mind, body and spirit for all. We offer health and wellness and sports programs to individual of all ages, provide pre-school and afterschool child care. The Bonita Springs Y works in collaboration with other nonprofit agencies to assist the community members in various aspects of life, primarily strengthening families.
Job Description: The Y often has opportunities for additional help and volunteer service, including:

Membership desk duties:
- Greeting and checking members/visitors
- Office tasks
- Tours through the facility
- Support to other team members

Child Watch:
- Greeting members with children
- Playing and reading books to children according to age
- Keeping the child watch area clean and organized for children. ***NOT DIAPER CHANGE***

Wellness Center:
- Assisting floor attendant by wiping down equipment
- Keeping floor clean and safe for members
- Additional duties as needed and determined by activities and the Fitness Director

Sports Programs:
- Referees/timekeepers/scorekeepers
- Monitor and assist activities in the gymnasium
- Keep the activity room/area clean and safe

Afterschool Care:
- Assist with homework and other learning activities
- Assist with directed activities
- Assist with distribution of snacks

Social events:
- Assist with the logistics prior, during and after events
- Attend the events
- Assist in the promotion of events
- Organize equipment for events
- Assisting with athletic events (parking, check-in, course safety, first aid, etc.)
- Coaches and referees for youth sports leagues like basketball, volleyball and soccer
Times of Work: Weekdays daytime, Weekdays evenings, Weekends daytime, Weekends evenings
