Details: Collier HUGS is a community based children's behavioral health system which addresses the prevention and early identification of mental health problems, including strengthening behavioral programs and providing better access to care for all children. We are a multi-agency collaborative with the majority of the hands on services provided by NAMI. HUGS is funded by NCEF & free to the families that we serve.
Job Description: We are looking for volunteers that are bilingual in English/Creole that can help translate & reach out to our Creole speaking families.
We are also in need of volunteers to:
Assist with Health Fairs, on-site outreach to offer mental health screenings, assist with our support group, etc.

Design and implement Wellness Campaign and/or challenge Fundraising event to benefit and/or sponsor summer programs Staff a kid "drop in" while parents participate in support group or group.

Design and co-present a workshop; acting 101, basketball 101, poetry writing, singing/dance lessons

College mentor. (big brother big sister connection) Host event on campus?
stress management activities; yoga, martial arts
offer a lifeskills class

Additional Information: We only serve families in Collier County. There is not an application for our families (we do not have income requirements to qualify). If a child needs our services, they are eligible for our program. We like to think "out of the box" for ways to support, enrich, and help our families.
