Details: We are a 501(c)3 statewide rescue organization that rescues, rehabilitates and places abandoned Labrador retrievers in adoptive homes. We have no facility and all Labs are in private homes for foster care prior to adoption. LRROF has 17 Districts and this opportunity is with the Ft Myers District (Lee, Collier, Sarasota, Charlotte Counties). Events activity is principally located in Naples and Ft Myers. Since 2000, we have saved and placed 6,500 Labs in loving homes.
Job Description: We have a need and offer an opportunity for students interested in communications, marketing and/or hospitality to work with Labrador Retriever Rescue of FL (LRROF). We are a local District of the statewide charity and are based in Ft Myers. We formed 13 years ago and have rescued and adopted out over 6,000 Labrador retrievers to the caring people of Florida.

The student volunteers will gain relevant career experience and bring students in touch with local businesses. Looking for help in the following five (5) areas:

Print Media, Press:
Build and maintain press contacts to maintain and expand the publication of Labs Available for Adoption, Submit short description and photographs weekly to the publications

Social Media:
Work with District Coordinator to enhance strategy
Serve as co administrator on the Lab Rescue SWFL District Facebook Page

Local Adoption Event Management
Staff and run the monthly Meet & Greets at North Naples Petco
Expand the number of Meet & Greets locally to include Gulf Coast Town Center

Human Resource Management

Coordinate and communicate with District volunteers

Fund Raising, Development and Advancement

Develop, manage and staff fundraising events
