||Intelligentsia International, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit educational organization that provides student exchange programs in Florida. Students are provided with practical experience opportunities in a wide range of community service and technical areas. Since 1999 Intelligentsia has hosted 400 students from 60 nations in LaBelle for programs averaging 3.5 months each.
||While most of its projects are better suited for internships, Intelligentsia offers some opportunities for service learning activities in a number of areas.
1. Campus Climate Corps.
FGCU students can help lead a national effort to organize and promote a climate change student event in Paris scheduled for Thanksgiving Break, 2015. The official UN climate change youth event (COY11) will be attended by more than 3000 students, mostly undergraduates, from around the world, including the USA. An event for US student researchers and their faculty mentors will host an additional 500 participants alongside the COY11 event, in the same exhibition hall. It's going to be an historic event.
2. LaBelle Nature Park trails and plant ID markers improvements.
3. Caloosahatchee River oxbows monitoring, analysis, and restoration.
4. Non-profit organization management (finances, marketing, etc.)
5. Earth Day educational programs for school children.
6. Clean drinking water projects for developing nations, in cooperation with Rotary International.
7. SW Florida Water Resources Conference planning and organizing (see www.awra.caloosahatchee.org/service)

||Intelligentsia International, Inc. includes a program called Campus Climate Corps which focuses on students addressing climate changes challenges. The main goal of Campus Climate Corps (CCC) is to organize the Paris Climate Change Symposium. It will precede the COP21 in Paris, Nov/Dec 2015. The symposium will focus on climate change topics and will include keynote addresses, paper presentations, and poster sessions by students, all designed to educate young professionals and empower them to leadership and action.
