Details: The Southwest Florida Watershed Council is a grass-roots, multi-county coalition of individuals, organizations, agencies and businesses that have come together to address the issues affecting the Caloosahatchee and Big Cypress watersheds.
Job Description: Project 1: WATER CONFERENCE ORGANIZING. Watershed Council is one of several organizations that hosts the Annual Southwest Florida Water Resources Conference. Many students attend this event and some help organize it. Contact us if you are interested in assisting in planning and implementing this conference.
Project 2: PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS. Watershed Council would like to produce a series of public service announcements (PSAs) promoting environmental issues. The first of these PSAs will be on the topic of the Lee Conservation 20/20 program. Students can assist in the organizing of this PSA project. The students can work with the Watershed Council directors who are area professionals in education, wildlife, water, and land management.
