When is Convocation?
2009 Student Convocation at FGCU is scheduled for Sunday August 23rd, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. in Alico Arena.
What Can I expect at Convocation?
The University President and other key administrators, staff, and students will participate, and FGCU faculty will process in full regalia.
Will My Family be Able to Attend?
Yes, but space is very limited.
Is Attendance Required?
Attendance is highly recommended, but not required. The benefits of attending convocation are many. It is an excellent opportunity to celebrate, meet faculty and staff and feel supported in your educational journey. It will be a motivational beginning to your undergraduate experience.
What Should I Wear?
The ceremony portion of the program is a respectful occasion. Appropriate attire is business casual (i.e., dress shirt and slacks/skirt).
