Ride2FGCU Ridematching Service

 Ride2FGCU is a new dedicated ridesharing system for use only by  Florida Gulf Coast University faculty, staff and students. Register  today using your FGCU e-mail accout to find a carpool partner or a  walking, biking or transit buddy.

Environmental Health and Safety has partnered with Student Government to bring you www.Ride2FGCU.com. It's a secure, online rideshare matching system designed to assist you  in finding ridesharing partners who work or study at FGCU.   

Use Ride2FGCU to find carpool, biking, walking, and bus buddies for your daily commute.

Find one-time trip matches when going home on break, traveling to conferences, taking a vacation, or going on class field trips.

The service is for free of charge faculty, staff, and students of FGCU.

Matches are created by those with a similar schedule and by those who live in the same vicinity, or drivers may pick up other commuters along their route to campus.  Register today to give it a try. No obligation and you can remove yourself from searches whenever you’re not actively looking for ridesharing partners.

Car sharing is an alternative to car ownership. Become a member here and enjoy the convenience of car ownership without the hassle and expense! Rentals are available by the hour, daily, or overnight.

The Enterprise CarShare vehicles are located near the Cohen Center shuttle stop in Parking lot 5.

Gulf Coast Town Center Shuttle

Each year Gulf Coast Town Center provides a free shuttle service for the students of Florida Gulf Coast University. The shuttle will operate Thursdays from 6 p.m. – 2 a.m. and Saturdays from 3 p.m. – 10 p.m.Shuttle service for the fall semester will run August 21, 2014 – December 6, 2014. There will be no shuttle service during Thanksgiving break (November 27-29).Service for the spring 2015 semester will run from January 8, 2015 – April 25, 2015. There will be no shuttle service during spring break (March 5-7).

Bus Service                                        

Purchase your LeeTran bus passes at the University Bookstore and use LeeTran’s  trip planner to see schedules and estimated travel time.

Public transit services are available Monday through Saturday, from 5:00 a.m. to 9:45 p.m., with limited Sunday service on some routes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

LEED Parking Decal- Annual Permit Discount

To promote the use of low emitting and fuel efficient vehicles, preferred parking and discounted faculty/staff parking permits are available for certain vehicles.  Students, Faculty, and Staff members may check with Parking Services to determine if their vehicle qualifies for the special LEED Parking Decal.  To register a qualified vehicle, please complete the LEED Decal Request Form available at Parking Services.  The form, vehicle, and vehicle registration must be brought to Parking Services for verification and issuance of the LEED Parking Decal.
