Donor Recognition Societies

 
 

The Covenant Society, established in 2005, recognizes alumni and friends who have included Florida Gulf Coast University as a beneficiary in their estate plans through revocable deferred gifts such as wills, living trusts, life insurance policies, and qualified retirement accounts. Revocable deferred gifts provide donors with the maximum security and flexibility in estate planning - while ensuring that their values will become an enduring legacy at FGCU.

The Heritage Society, established in 2005, recognizes alumni and friends who have included Florida Gulf Coast University as a beneficiary in their estate plans through irrevocable deferred gifts such as charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, and retained life estates. Irrevocable deferred gifts provide donors with life income payments and/or specific tax advantages - while ensuring that their values will become an enduring legacy at FGCU.

Memberships: Alumni and friends of Florida Gulf Coast University are eligible to become members of The Covenant Society and/or The Heritage Society after completing a Letter of Intent. Members are invited to attend special Presidential and University events, given special recognition in the Honor Roll of donors, and celebrated whenever we honor our most generous benefactors. Society members may also choose to remain anonymous.

The Legacy Society, established in 2005, recognizes alumni and friends who have made estate distributions to Florida Gulf Coast University. These ultimate gifts contribute to FGCU's ability to provide outstanding higher education and public service throughout Southwest Florida for generations to come.
