10/13/2008 - The Founder's Cup is one of the largest golf tournaments in the area. The tournament has a history of being a sell out event, filling two 18-hole courses. Since its inception 17 years ago, many volunteers from FGCU and the community add special touches of hospitality - making the Founder's Cup Golf Tournament one of the premier golfing events in all of Southwest Florida.

8/30/2007 - Herbert J. Sugden Hall will provide the FGCU Resort & Hospitality management majors with state of the art kitchen, restaurant, spa and golf management lab and teaching facilities to compliment their academic learning. The Sugden's generouse gifting of a new building to our RHM program ensures FGCU's Resort & Hospitality Management facilities are competitive with other hospitality programs across the country and provides a point of pride for students and alumni.

10/27/2007 - Community Day is a campus wide open house celebrating the 10 year history and the success story of Florida Gulf Coast University. An array of activities to include: Campus Tours, A Scholarship Scavenger Hunt, Informational Presentations, environmental and bird walks, family activities, FREE BBQ and much more will be happening on the FGCU campus.

11/2/2007 - This popular event gives scholarship donors a chance to meet their student recipients face to face and to hear firsthand their personal stories and words of appreciation. Invitations are extended to scholarship donors and their student recipients.

2/9/2008 - The President's Celebration 2008 - A Decade of Distinction is the Signature fundraising gala for FGCU. This year the event will be a celebration and reflection of the success and growth the University has accomplished over its 10 year history. An evening of dining and entertainment, the Celebration will continue its tradition of being like no other.
