Why Should I Support FGCU?

Your participation in the Funds for Excellence for faculty and staff is a vote of confidence in the University and its future.  Every gift you make will contribute to a sense of partnership and pride across campus and beyond.

How much should I give?

You determine the size and designation of your gift according to your own charitable interests, your personal willingness to give and your financial capacity.  No gift is too small.  It's your participation in the effort that matters.

What can I give to?

You have many choices but we could not begin to list them all.  Many donors choose to make an unrestricted gift; those not restricted for a specific purpose are therefore directed to where the need is greatest.  Unrestricted gifts also enable the University to take advantage of unexpected opportunities.  Other donors choose to restrict their gifts to a specific department or program, while others might give to support the library, athletics, or one of the many scholarships that are available to FGCU students.

How can I give?

There are many easy ways to make a gift to FGCU.  You can contact the FGCU Foundation at 590-1062 for information about making a gift via:

• Payroll deduction
• Check (payable to the FGCU Foundation)
• Credit card

How does payroll deduction work?

Payroll deduction is one of the fastest, easiest and most convenient ways to make a gift.  By completing the payroll deduction section on the pledge form, you specify the amount you would like automatically deducted from each paycheck.  You can have an amount deducted until further notice. The form can be acquired from gulfline, the marlin share drive and/or through your building ambassadors.

Who will know about my gift?

You will receive a receipt but the amount of your gift will remain confidential to others at all times.  If you wish to keep your gift entirely anonymous, you can indicate so on the pledge form.

Can I make a gift jointly with my spouse?

Yes!  A number of employees have spouses who work here as well; or the spouse is an alumnus/a but not an FGCU employee.  It is your choice now to make your gift as an individual or as a couple.
