The President's Society

President Wilson G. Bradshaw

An Annual Recognition Society for Leadership Gifts to the

University’s Unrestricted Giving Programs

The President’s Society was created to recognize and honor those of you who have demonstrated a commitment to the University through significant annual unrestricted support.  Your contribution to the success of the University is immense and provides critical resources that allow FGCU to take advantage of emerging opportunities or address unexpected challenges. Academic excellence is an important area in which funds from the President’s Society are invested, which translates into student success.

Your Gifts Make a Difference!

Unrestricted funds helped us swiftly meet the growing needs of our students and faculty and allocate resources for unfunded programs and initiatives in the 2013-2014 academic year. Your impact can be felt across campus through programs such as the following:

  • The Student Ambassador program, which expands the University’s presence in the community and advances leadership development of our student participants.
  • Internships for students like Brittany Hogue, a senior who was able to gain an invaluable experience as a legislative intern in Tallahassee.
  • The FGCU Pep Band, an integral part of the excitement at many basketball games.
  • Conferences and workshops that focus on the development of personal leadership skills of students, faculty and staff.
  • Workforce development initiatives in Southwest Florida, which align our academic programs with regional business needs.
  • Leveraging opportunities from the FGCU men’s and women’s basketball teams’ success to increase support of FGCU through expanded alumni programming.

Thank you for your investment in the President’s Society. These unrestricted gifts are the fuel that enables the University to make bold investments and receive brilliant returns.

Quote from Student:

I recently graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with degrees in business and communication and concentrations in public relations and management. I’d like to begin by simply saying thank you. The contributions you make to this university mean more than you could ever imagine. Your generosity has helped provide opportunities for me – as well as countless other FGCU students.  I am forever grateful, because my time here as an Eagle has truly given me wings. Thank you President’s Society members!
