The President's Society: Membership

Florida Gulf Coast University Cordially Invites You to Become a Member of the President's Society

The President's Society was created by the Board of Directors of the Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation to recognize and honor those who have demonstrated their commitment to the University through significant annual support. The result of your participation will benefit FGCU and the region for many years to come.

Among the initiatives launched by The President's Society was the inaugural University Lecture Series presentation featuring Mayo Angelou, designed to promote intellectual engagement in the community and inspire critical and creative thinking on a wide range of topics and issues of local and global significance.

Last year's gifts from members of the President's Society were used to fund the:

  • Adaptive Sports Expo;
  • First Generation Scholarship Program;
  • 2007 State Science and Engineering Fair; and
  • Whitaker Math Competition hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences faculty for area high school students.

Benefits of Membership

Membership in The President Society brings many rewards. Satisfaction comes from knowing your gift to education is framing the future of the region and bringing distinction to Florida Gulf Coast University.

By participating in this annual giving society, you will be establishing a vital tradition of caring and philanthropy that will benefit FGCU and its students for many years to come.  No member benefit will be greater, however, than the satisfaction derived from knowing your gift will make a difference today.
