Thank you for considering Florida Gulf Coast University to pursue your graduate education! The Office of Research and Graduate Studies looks forward to assisting you as you prepare to embark on your journey to our beautiful campus and to the greater Fort Myers area.

If you are an international student (either abroad or currently studying in the United States) and are interested in applying for a graduate program at FGCU, please refer to the International Graduate Admission Guide for detailed information about the application process.

Important Notices:

Master's degree programs offered only online (virtual) and graduate certificate programs do not meet the requirements for international students. Please do not apply to these programs.

International students enrolling at Florida Gulf Coast University under a student visa do not qualify for in-state tuition rates. University and federal regulations require the submission of the Financial Statement prior to admission.

Please refer to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website for information on student visas and employment restrictions while studying in the USA.

Please follow these basic steps to complete an application for admission to a graduate program as an international student:

  1. Submit a completed Graduate International Application ONLINE.
  2. Mail U.S. $30 application fee to Graduate Studies by way of money order
  3. Submit official course by course transcript evaluation
  4. Submit official graduate entrance exam (GRE, GMAT or MAT) required by selected program
  5. Submit official TOEFL or official IELTS score if bachelor's degree is from a non-English language country
  6. Submit supplemental materials required by selected program
  7. Submit Financial Statement
  8. Submit Visa Clearance Form if currently enrolled at a U.S. institution under a student visa

When all of the above are received by the Office of Research and Graduate Studies, your application will be forwarded to your graduate program coordinator for review. Upon an offer of admission, Florida Gulf Coast University will then issue your student visa and mail your USCIS documents to you.
