Application Form


Deadlines:

  • The deadline for both Spring admission and Fall early-decision admission is October 31st at 5:00 PM. Only completed applications that are received by this deadline will be considered for Spring admission. Students who have completed applications by this deadline should expect to hear if they are accepted, rejected or waitlisted by November 15th
  • We begin making decisions for Fall admission beginning February 1st at 5:00 PM. Students seeking funding are encouraged to apply by that date. We will continue taking applications after this date until the class is full and will consider incoming applications on April 1st and July 15th. Students who have completed applications should expect to hear if they are accepted, rejected, or waitlisted within two weeks following the deadline at which they were considered.

 

Instructions

  • Please fill out the application form and submit on-line.  This will allow us to track your application and respond in a timely manner.

  • All required fields must be completed before submittig your application.

  • The essay (question #8) is one of the most important parts of the application. We will judge responses for clarity and depth of thought, sophistication  of prose and argumentation, and general qualitiy of content and style. Your response should be between 750 and 1250 words (3-5 pages). We highly encourage that you write the essay in a word-processing program, check it for spelling and then cut-and-paste it into the response box.

  • Applicants who submit an essay with a length of less than 500 words will be automatically rejected.

Benefits
9.) Honors students are eligible for priority consideration for residence Honors Hall.
Would you like to be considered for housing in Honors Hall? (Note: All incoming
honors students who are incoming freshmen who are living on campus must opt to
live in Honors Hall or a special academic [music, engineering] or athletic
[cross-country, soccer, etc] residence community to receive a renewable honors
scholarship.) If 'yes' you should also request Honors Hall on your application

application. Letters can be sent to Carey Fells; FGCU Honors Program;
