All FTIC students who enter Honors from High School or ACE engage in our First-Year Experience.

To complete the First-Year Experience the student must do the following by the end of their Spring semester:

Attend the Fall Retreat

Participate in the activities of the mentoring program

Complete at least 6 credits of honors coursework (excluding Composition, Lessons in Leadership, and Research Symposium)

Complete Honors Comp I and II if necessary

Complete Lessons in Leadership and Research Symposium

Students who do not successfully complete the requirements for the First-Year Experience within their first two semesters will be placed on Honors Probation.
