As an FGCU faculty member, an honors student might approach you about helping him/her with an honors contract. Functionally, contracts allow students to turn any course at FGCU into an honors course. Should you agree to work with the student, you and the student will have to sit down and create an honors experience for the course. This experience could be anything from writing an extra paper, taking on additional research, completing an experiential component for the course, etc. This additional material should be the equivalent of 1-credit hour worth of work. Contracts are a great way for you to establish a mentor relationship with some of FGCU's best students.
For a more detailed explanation of the process, please see the student honors contract link.
