The Admission and Entry Timeline

Freshmen

If you are a first-time-in-college freshman (this includes dual enrollment, IB, AP, collegiate high school, and such programs), your application to FGCU serves as your application to Honors.

January 11, 2012: Honors will begin notifying students who have been accepted into FGCU and who are eligible for Honors of their acceptance into the Program. These acceptances will be mailed out on a rolling basis until our 2011 class is full. Students who are eligible but for whom there is no remaining spot will be placed upon a waiting list.

Early January-Late February 2012: Accepted students will begin receiving our Honors acceptance letters. The letter will outline all of the important dates for the upcoming year. It will also contain a form that you need to return to us. This form must be mailed back to Honors postdated on or before May 1, 2012 to guarantee a student's spot in Honors for Fall 2012.

April 1, 2012: Deadline for priority housing. Students applying after this date will not receive priority housing for the Honors residential communities. Information and applications can be found here.

April 15, 2012: Pending available seats, Honors begins notifying waitlisted students of their acceptance into Honors. Honors acceptance letters sent.

June 30, 2011: Deadline for receipt of waitlisted student's acceptance letters. No incoming freshmen admitted after this date.
