Back to Special Interest Housing
Our new Living-Learning Community for first-year students, "Leadership through Service," is an initiative between the Office of Housing & Residence Life and the Office of Undergraduate Studies. The Leadership through Service community is recommended for first-year students who are interested in developing their leadership skills and giving back to the community. This program provides opportunities for personal growth and peer-to-peer connections.
Students participating in this program will be housed in Everglades Hall in South Village and will be required to take a minimum of one course per semester (listed below) as well as participate in the "Leadership through Service" Common Hour. The courses in this program are taught in a South Village classroom, the same community where students in the program live. Students who are able to take both course offerings each semester are highly encouraged to do so.
