The Certified Public Manager program is a nationally-recognized program for training and developing public managers and supervisors. The primary goals are to professionalize public management and improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. The program focuses on the fundamentals of leadership and management, with an emphasis on improving one's people skills, team leadership, and organizational effectiveness.
Level 6: A Systems Focus For Supervisors, Managers and Executives
Focuses on the systems approach to management. Basic concepts of systems theory are introduced and the manager will have hands-on experience with familiar and unfamiliar systems. The manager will examine two applications of the systems approach: behavior modification as a way of looking at individual change and organizational development as a way of looking at organizational change.
