The Town Hall Meeting on Underage Drinking, which was co-sponsored by the Coalition for a Drug-Free Southwest Florida and the IYJS in Spring 2014, was funded possible by a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (http://youtu.be/y_DOwadsHl4). The town hall meeting and its video are being considered by SAMSHA as a national best practice.

Summer of Peace

Dr. Pavelka was among a distinguished group of global laureates who spoke during the Summer of Peace Summit. Her speech, "The Importance of Policy, Legislation and Data in Restorative Justice," may be heard via http://summit.summerofpeace.net/node/141/dl. Dr. Gordon Bazemore, Professor and Director of the Community Justice Institute at Florida Atlantic University, will join Dr. Pavelka to discuss the Balanced and Restorative Justice Project on October 3, 2013.
