The Case Analysts assist community partners at the Juvenile Assessment Center of Lee County with special projects.

The Lee County Juvenile Drug Court Program is a partnership between FGCU, Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, Southwest Florida Addiction Services, Circuit 20 Juvenile Delinquency Court, Court Administration, State Attorney's Office, Public Defenders Office. The intent of this project is to increase the capacity of the program by 25 and to supplement the current treatment strategy with options appropriate for substance abusing youth with less extensive delinquency history than current participants must have to enter the program. The expanded program will also include intensive monitoring and experiential therapy. The main goal of the program is to decrease delinquency and drug use among vulnerable youth while improving community safety. The objective is to change youth behavior and family relationships; this objective will be measured with both official on program compliance (including US results) and self-report data from youths on family relationships and other quality of life measures such as school performance.
