Please follow the steps listed below for the type of program you have chosen.
STEP 1 Learn about Faculty-Led Study Abroad programs by attending a Faculty-Led Study Abroad Information Session, searching programs on the FGCU Horizons database, speaking with representatives from the program at the FGCU Study Abroad Fair, or by speaking with the Faculty leader of the program. Please note that most FLSA programs will be posted on the FGCU Horizons database by October 12, 2011 for Spring 2012, Summer 2012, and Fall 2012 programs.
STEP 2 Register yourself with FGCU Horizons.
STEP 3 Apply for your chosen program once you are registered with FGCU Horizons by submitting your application materials as indicated on the FGCU Horizons application.
STEP 4 Follow Instructions regarding additional requirements and/or registration instructions for your specific program.
STEP 5 Pay your tuition and course related program fees for your FLSA course at the cashier's office in person, by mail, or online via the Bill and Payment Center in Gulfline.
STEP 6 Attend all pre-departure orientations scheduled for your program by the FGCU International Services Office and your faculty leader.
STEP 7 Study Abroad!
STEP 1 Learn about Provider Study Abroad programs by attending a General Study Abroad Information Session, searching programs on the FGCU Horizons database or on the StudyAbroad.com database, or speaking with representatives from the program at the FGCU Study Abroad Fair.
STEP 2 Register yourself with FGCU Horizons.
STEP 3 Apply for your chosen program once you are registered with FGCU Horizons by submitting your application materials as indicated on the FGCU Horizons application.
STEP 4 Obtain Signature from Study Abroad Coordinator on Course Pre-Approval Form. In the process of submitting your application materials on the FGCU Horizons application, you will need to make an appointment to meet with the FGCU Study Abroad Coordinator for a signature on your Study Abroad Course Pre-approval Form. In order to make an appointment, you must first have attended a General Study Abroad Information Session and be registered with FGCU Horizons. Appointments can be made in person in the International Services Office (Reed 122) or by calling 239-590-7925.
STEP 5 Obtain Signature from Academic Advisor on Course Pre-Approval Form. In the process of submitting your application materials on the FGCU Horizons application, you will need to make an appointment to meet with your Academic Advisor for a signature on your Study Abroad Course Pre-approval Form.
STEP 6 Apply to your Provider Program by the Provider Program's deadline and follow their instructions.
STEP 7 Attend an FGCU Pre-departure Orientation. You will receive an invitation for this orientation when your FGCU application is received
STEP 8 Study Abroad!
STEP 9 Verify with your Provider Program that your transcripts are sent to the FGCU Registrar's Office for articulation for courses on transcripts from institutions that are regionally accredited. Please refer to the Course Pre-Approval form for instructions on receiving transfer credit for courses on transcripts from institutions that are not regionally accredited.

STEP 1 Register yourself with FGCU Horizons. There is no need to fill out an application beyond the registration stage.
STEP 2 Apply for your program by the application date.
