Dr. Dyonne Bergeron was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and has been working in higher education for more than 14 years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Louisiana State University, Master of Education in College Student Affairs from the University of South Florida, and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in College Leadership from the University of South Florida. She has served in higher education in several capacities. She served as the Program Director of the First Year Success Institute/Freshmen Summer Institute and U-First Program, and academic advisor, which primarily served first-generation freshman students at the University of South Florida, Directors of Fraternity and Sorority Life, Greek Community Coordinator for Greek Housing at the University of Georgia and the University of South Florida respectively, and Advisor for Greek Life and Coordinator of the African American Culture Center at Louisiana State University.
