Schedule of AiM Training Sessions for WMC Designated Users

 The Work Management Center is proud to present our new work order system - AiM!

Please attend one of the available training sessions to learn how to enter maintenance requests using an internet-based customer request system.

Designated department primary and secondary WMC contacts are encouraged to attend.

Florida Gulf Coast University Physical Plant has established a Work Management Center, which is responsible for entering and monitoring work requests using database software system. Maintenance requests such as repairs, plumbing, lock requests, sign requests, building renovations, grounds, pest control, custodial, moving, electrical, and any special requests may be called in to 590-1370, or requested by email to wmc@fgcu.edu. Each university department and college has a primary and secondary designee who has been trained on work management procedures.

Routine MaintenanceSupport Services

The Physical Plant receives budget allocations for basic operational services. These services directly relate to the overall operation and maintenance of the Physical Plant. Such services are rendered without charge to the University community. Areas and buildings that are not budgeted for these services are Auxiliaries that include residence halls, dining services, bookstore and outside vendors leasing space in the University. The following services are considered basic operational services:

  • Quality control inspections are scheduled and completed periodically throughout the year to ensure classroom, restrooms, and common areas are well maintained.
  • Warranty issues reported & technician follow-up on repairs
  • Work orders issued and repairs completed as human and material resources are available for the following areas:
  • Damaged ceiling tiles
  • Touch up paint needed on stained or dirty walls
  • Damaged carpet, tiles or baseboards
  • Burned out ballasts and lights

Special Requests: Chargeable Services

These are services rendered to departments and activities for which the Physical Plant does not receive budget allocation. The Physical Plant charges labor and materials for these types of services including actual cost plus overhead for supervision. Labor rates used reflect prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits. The departmental designee will receive a written estimate for the service and upon approval of the budget official in the requesting department, the job will be scheduled.
