Accreditation

The Office of the Provost is responsible for ensuring both the equality of the university's academic programs and enhancing student learning through continuous improvement.

Florida Gulf Coast University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees. Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call 404-679-4500 for questions about the accreditation of Florida Gulf Coast University. However, inquiries concerning FGCU with regard to admission requirements, financial aid, educational programs, etc., should be addressed to FGCU directly and not to the Commission on Colleges (COC).
