2015 SAC Elections
The Staff Advisory Council is now accepting nominations for twelve new members for the 2015-2017 SAC term. Please consider nominating yourself, or someone that you think would well represent the staff at FGCU. Shared governance is the desired collegial governance practice at Florida Gulf Coast University and the Staff Advisory Council is one of its key components.
The nomination period ends at 5 PM on April 3, 2015. The term of office for these seats is two years, beginning June 1, 2015 and ending May 31, 2017.
There are six Administrative and Professional (A&P) and six Support Personnel (SP) seats available. In order to be eligible, a candidate must have been employed in a SP or A&P Position on or before June 1, 2014. We are looking for candidates from the following areas: President’s Office/Advancement/Athletics; Administrative Services; Student Affairs; Academic Affairs – Non College; and Academic Affairs – College.
Once the nomination form has been completed and submitted, it will be sent to the members of the SAC Elections Committee. Everyone who has been nominated will be contacted to confirm acceptance. Candidates will be introduced during the annual Staff Assembly on Wednesday, April 29, 2015.
