Tom Chiarella (Esquire fiction editor--Freelance Journalism)
Tom Chiarella is writer-at-large for Esquire magazine, where he also serves as fiction editor. He has also written for Golf Digest, O: The Oprah Magazine, The New Yorker and elsewhere. He's written three books--a short story collection ( Foley's Luck, Knopf 1992), a writer's guide ( Writing Dialogue, Story Press 1997) and a collection of golf essays ( Thursday's Game, Emmis, 2004). He has a non-fiction narrative upcoming from Crown ( The Proposition, 2010). Recipient of an NEA grant and former finalist for the National Magazine Award, he lives in Greencastle, Indiana where he is a visiting professor of Creative Writing at Depauw University.
