Applicants to the summer and fall terms who have SAT/ACT Math sub-scores that are below the State of Florida mandated remediation level (SAT MATH 440, ACT MATH 19) may be offered the opportunity to participate in the Step Ahead Program and will be selected on a first-come first-served basis. Fall applicants that are invited to participate in the program will have their application deferred to the summer term.  Communication with Step Ahead candidates will be coordinated between the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the College of Arts and Sciences. Students who have remedial Reading and English scores will not be considered for this program. 

Subsequent to admission, students who submit higher SAT/ACT test scores which meet State requirements will be fully admitted and will not need to participate in the Step Ahead program.  Official scores must be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions so that scores can be entered and admission status updated to reflect full admission for either the summer or fall term.
