Officer Engle is the Crime Prevention officer for the Department. Officer Engle obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana State University, and is a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. He began his Law Enforcement career as a Reserve Deputy for the Knox County (Indiana) Sheriff's Department in 1988 and in 1990 was appointed as a Police Officer with the Vincennes University Police Department. While at Vincennes University, Officer Engle held the positions of Patrolman, Detective, and Detective Lieutenant. Officer Engle came to the Florida Gulf Coast University Police Department  in 2002, and is a Field Training Officer, Senior Patrol Officer and a CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) Officer. Officer Engle has been certified as a Florida Crime Prevention Practitioner through the Florida Attorney General's Office.
