Video and Audio Streaming

Video or Audio Streaming is the simultaneous transfer and display of audio and video over the internet and allows the audio and video clip to play almost immediately.

Windows Media is the FGCU supported streaming format.

For Mac users, download the free WMV plugin for QuickTime from the Microsoft website: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/wmcomponents.mspx  

What About Flash Videos?

FGCU supports the development of Flash progressive Videos for your course or department website.

Progressive playback requires that the file be downloaded before it can be viewed, however once a portion of the file has been downloaded, the user can begin watching the video.
