Dr. Joe Shepard
Vice President for
Administrative Services
Dr. Joe Shepard, Vice President for Administrative Services, was one of the initial employees hired by Florida Gulf Coast University to help create a public university in Southwest Florida. Hired in 1995 to primarily assist in the creation of a Division of Student Services, Dr. Shepard has provided leadership and assisted with the development of numerous departments including on-campus housing, disability services, international services, counseling services, health services, student life, recreation and leisure services, judicial affairs, registration, admissions, and financial aid.
Dr. Shepard received his Bachelor of Science degree in math education from Northern Arizona University. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration/International finance from the University of North Texas. His doctorate from Florida International University is in public administration where he specialized in public finance.
