Prospective Student Athletes

We are thrilled that you are considering becoming a Florida Gulf Coast University Eagle! We invite you to browse our web site as well as take a tour of our beautiful campus. To begin your process of becoming a student-athlete, you should register with the NCAA Clearinghouse at the end of your junior year (https://www.ncaaclearinghouse.net/ncaa/NCAA/student/index_student.html). This site has information concerning what core courses the NCAA is looking for and what you should be taking your senior year.

At the beginning of your senior year, you should apply for admission to FGCU. You can apply online at http://enrollment.fgcu.edu/admissions/applyonline.htm or print the application and send or fax it to the Office of Admissions. You may contact the FGCU Office of Admissions at admissions@fgcu.edu or 239.590.7878.

Finally, you should check out all financial aid and scholarship sources through FGCU’s Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships (http://enrollment.fgcu.edu/FinancialAid). You may contact FGCU’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at faso@fgcu.edu or 239.590.7920.

FGCU participates in the National Letter of Intent (NLI). I encourage you to read the Frequently Asked Questions regarding the NLI at http://www.national-letter.org/faq/.

If you have further questions, please feel free to contact the FGCU Athletics Compliance Office at 239.590.7018 or jnester@fgcu.edu .
