Swanson Stadium

Located adjacent to FGCU’s main arena, Swanson Stadium is fully enclosed and features one of the best playing surfaces in the country surrounded by spacious dugouts and a press box directly behind home plate at field level. A large electronic scoreboard is in left-center field with bullpens next to each dugout, batting cages down the right field line and permanent seating for 1,500 spectators. The stadium is known for the beautiful palm trees that line the main entrance to the facility, as well as surround the outfield fence.

Swanson Stadium has served as the home of the FGCU baseball program since its grand opening on February 1, 2004, a 20-2 win over Ed Waters College before a capacity crowd. In April 2005, the complex was renamed Swanson Stadium in recognition of two strong supporters of Florida Gulf Coast University and civic leaders – Duane and Cookie Swanson.
