ACOA - Adult Children of Alcoholics: Growing up in a home with substance abuse

**This group is not scheduled to run during the Fall 2016 academic term.  If you have an interest in or need for this group, please contact CAPS to be added to the sign-up sheet for the Spring 2017 academic term. **

Growing up in a home with one or both parents who abuse alcohol or other substances often leaves us with insufficient coping mechanisms. This group is a place to explore how you may have been affected by parental substance abuse, what has worked well for you in terms of coping with the dynamics of your family, and what you may want to change in your current relational style. The goals of this group are to provide some psychoeducation on addicdtion and ACOA common experiences, as well as to provide a safe place for students to find emotional support from fellow students in similar situations.

This group requires a brief screening appointment, so please contact CAPS (590-7950) to find out more information or to schedule an appointment.
