The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences houses the programs of History, Psychology and Sociology. Each of these disciplines connects students to an important facet of the human experience. History develops the minds and sparks a capacity for critical inquiry; Psychology prepares students for the rapidly changing world; and Sociology prepares students with the knowledge and skills to effect change in society. The programs within this department provide incredible opportunities for research on both an independent level, and working closely with the faculty within their disciplines. A degree from any of the programs within the Department of Social and Behavior Sciences lays the foundation for pursuing exciting careers across many fields.
