Master of Science in Health Science
Applicants applying for admission must:
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited
institution of higher learning; and
- Meet one of the following requirements (effective July
1, 2003):

(Combined score of GRE
quantitative and verbal sections) + (GPA for the last 60
semester hours attempted at the upper division
undergraduate level x 200) must equal or exceed 1600; or
-
MAT score +
(GPA for the last 60 semester hours attempted at the upper
division undergraduate level x 200) must equal or exceed
1000; or
-
(GMAT score) + (GPA
for the last 60 semester hours attempted at the upper
division undergraduate level x 200) must equal or exceed
1100; or
-
A
graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
The GRE, GMAT, and MAT must have been taken within
5 years preceding the application.
- Submit a Graduate
Application for Admission to Florida Gulf Coast
University (FGCU). The FGCU Graduate Application for
Admission and academic transcripts from every college
attended are submitted to the Graduate Admissions Office; and
- Submit a completed Division of
Health Sciences Supplemental Application for Admission
to the Graduate Admissions Office; and
- Submit a portfolio and a one
to three page essay/statement of goals to
Graduate Admissions Office; and
- International applicants who speak English as a second
language, must earn a minimum score of 550 on TOEFL to demonstrate
proficiency in English so as to facilitate student success
and learning in the program of study.
- License, certification, and/or registration in a health
profession is required for the Health Professions Education
Concentration.
- Applicants
for the Master of Science in Geriatric Recreational
Therapy must be certified therapeutic recreation specialists
(CTRS).
Application Deadlines:

To be considered for Fall
admission, the deadline for all application materials is July
1st.

To be considered for Spring
admission, the deadline for all application materials is November
15th.
