photoThe Recreation Therapy Concentration is no longer accepting new students.

The BSHS program is offered by web based distance learning. Some courses may also be taken on campus if desired.

The curriculum consists of the following components:

  1. Four College of Health Professions Interdisciplinary Core Courses
  2. The Division of Health Sciences Core Courses; and
  3. Program and Elective Courses in the Concentration Area.
All students are also required to complete the FGCU University Colloquium and Service Learning prior to graduation.  

A maximum of 72 credits can be transferred and applied toward the BSHS which include 36 general education credits to meet the State University System (SUS) of Florida requirements and 36 lower division credits.   A minimum of 48 upper division credits (courses numbered 3000 and above) must be earned for this degree program, with 30 of the last 60 hours completed at FGCU. The degree conferred is the Bachelor of Science in Health Science regardless of the concentration selected.
