Post-Masters Certification Program
The Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Post-Master's Certificate Program
prepares registered nurses with a Master's Degree in Nursing to be certified
as Adult or Family Nurse Practitioners. Twenty (20) credit hours of course work
is required.

Submission of Florida Gulf Coast University Non-Degree Enrollment Application

Master's degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program
-
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale

Submission of official transcripts from each post secondary institution
attended.

Current and unrestricted RN license with eligibility for Florida licensure
Each student program is individualized based on educational and experiential
background. Program pre-requisites include:

Advanced Physiology/Pathophysiology

Advanced Health Assessment (Competency Validation Required)

Concepts and Roles of Advanced Practice (Taken within the last five years)
