The School of Nursing began its new MSN Nurse Anesthesia Program in January 2007. The Program received its accreditation from the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs in October, 2006.

The Nurse Anesthesia Program is a university-based program leading to a Master of Science in Nursing degree with a concentration in Nurse Anesthesia.  It is the only university-based nurse anesthesia program leading to a Master of Science in Nursing degree in Southwest Florida.

The Nurse Anesthesia Program is the only one in Southwest Florida housed in an institution accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. 

Nurse Anesthesia students at Florida Gulf Coast University have access to the entire range of opportunities available to University students, including on campus and on-line access to our 114,000 square foot library, our recreational, art, NCAA Division 1 athletics and scholarly lecture series offerings.  We invite you to peruse not only the MSN Nurse Anesthesia Program site, but also to visit the rest of the FGCU website to see the entire set of resources available to you.

The deadline for receipt of the application and all supporting materials class for the class beginning January, 2009 will be July 1, 2008.

Interviews will be held Saturday, August 23, 2008.
