FD.4a-b Process
Monitor and Manage Faculty Resources

The College of Business Faculty Resources Management Plan involves a comprehensive monitoring and feedback system to ensure deployment of full-time faculty across programs and locations. The backbone of this process is an Access Faculty/Student Credit Hour database originally conceived and constructed by students in a graduate database management seminar class within the College's MBA program.

The periodic monitoring process involves the reporting of the full-time equivalent, minimum full-time equivalent, and percent student credit hours taught by full-time faculty across degree programs and locations; as well as faculty course loads. Summary level measurements are reported and maintained through the Accreditation Web Site as Faculty Measurement Criteria. Formal detailed level measurements are constructed through the Access Faculty/Student Credit Hour database every semester. These reports reflect enrollment and student credit hours by course, by program, by faculty, and by location; and are illustrated in paper copy in Volume II of the Self-Evaluation Report. Detailed level reports are also provided to track faculty course loads, and are also illustrated in Volume II of the Self-Evaluation Report.

These reports are provided to the Department Chairs and Deans, along with faculty service commitments. Summary level Service Activity is shown on the Web Site, and detailed information by faculty member in the paper copies of Service Matrices located in Volume II, Self-Evaluation Report. Likewise, summary level Intellectual Contributions are shown on the Web Site, and detailed information by faculty member in the paper copies of Intellectual Contributions located In Volume II, Self-Evaluation Report) every semester. The reports are used to monitor and manage faculty deployment and make adjustments in deployment and hiring plans as required.
