Agreements and Understandings

Florida Gulf Coast University

Memoranda of Agreement to formally establish a collaborative relationship to focus on 1) faculty exchanges; 2) student exchanges, 3) relationships between business and cultural organizations, 4) business exchanges, and 5) distance education opportunities.


Academic Cooperation Agreement to promote international friendship and world peace by: 1) stimulating and supporting intercultural activities and projects among students, faculty and staff; 2) cooperating in the field of business administration and/or engineering in the areas of teaching, research, continuing education and technology transfer; and 3) cooperating in general


Agreement to enter into partnership between GFS Wirtschaftsfachschule and Florida Gulf Coast University to provide FGCU MBA via distance learning through GFS Wirtschaftsfachschule Site (November 1999).


Memorandum of Understanding between Florida Gulf Coast University College of Business and St. Galler Management Program University (SMPU) (Switzerland) for the development of Second Circle Business Certification Programs (November 2000). The Memorandum of Understanding has led to two specific programs:

At FGCU, both of these agreements are coordinated by the Institute for Technological Innovation, at the College of Business's Center for Leadership and Innovation. Related contractual documents are archived at the College of Business.


Sister Region Agreements to 1) develop increased understanding and cooperation between institutions involved in economic development, 2) encourage exchange of ideas between educational and professional organizations, 3) advance economic relationships and business opportunities by sharing information and jointly developing exhibitions, trade fairs, and other special programs, 4) promote cultural exchanges in the areas of art, music, archeology, culture, the performing arts, and sports, 5) support and encourage visits and exchanges by the citizens of both regions, and 6) sponsor yearly official communication to insure continued growth of the partnership.


Student and Faculty Exchange Agreements to promote better understanding of cultures through direct exchange of students and faculty. These agreements are promulgated under the provisions of umbrella Memoranda of Agreements or Academic Agreements
