Employment: A measure of success
A very basic and real-world insight can be gained by examining employment after graduation. Such examination can measure the success of students themselves, as well as the effectiveness of academic programs for career preparation.
This is also a measure of progress toward satisfying two major areas of the AACSB Standards:
In January 2001, the college administered an employment survey. Because of the relatively small numbers of FGCU alumni, it was decided that the first administration of the survey would include the entire population of graduates from both Undergraduate and Masters Programs, numbering 286. Included in this number were the January 2001 graduates.
The response rate was in excess of 30%, and the demographic profile of the respondents mirrored that of the college.
Results of the survey are shown in a series of charts and underlying data.
