Gerald A. Schoenfeld, Jr., Ph.D. (University of Pittsburgh), SPHR, is Chair of the Management Department, Director for the Institute for Advances in Human Resources, and an Associate Professor of Management. He is also Director of the Master's in Business Administration program. Jerry a founding faculty member at FGCU and teaches courses in the EMBA, MBA, and undergraduate levels. His principal research interests are in the areas of human resource strategy and leadership development. Jerry has authored numerous academic and practitioner articles on business management and human resources and has presented his work at many professional conferences and meetings. He is an active member of a number of professional organizations including the Academy of Management, Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the Society for Human Resource Management where he is the advisor for the superior merit award winning FGCU chapter. Jerry also consults extensively in the area of business management and his employment history includes having worked for one of the largest International HRM consulting firms. Jerry's outside interests focus on enjoying the Southwest Florida lifestyle through participation in various outdoor leisure and sport activities.
