ARES Meeting Summary The American Real Estate Society held its 28th annual meeting April 17-22, 2012 on St. Pete Beach. This meeting was attended by Dr. Steve Fraser, Dr. Ken Lusht, Raymond Placid and Dr. Shelton Weeks. Dr. Weeks and Dr. Fraser presented a paper entitled "The Impact of Insurance Availability on Residential Property Values" which they coauthored with Dr. Howard Finch, Dean of Samford University's Brock College of Business. Raymond Placid presented "Real Property Cost Segregation: A Case Study" which he coauthored with Dr. Weeks and Dr. Wayne Cecil. Dr. Weeks also chaired a session on real estate education. The meeting was highlighted by the presentation of the Richard Ratcliff Award to Dr. Ken Lusht in recognition of his singular and innovative stream of research in the area of valuation. |
